Obituary of Rev.Arnold Weigel

Passed away at The Westmount, Friday, December 16, 2011 at the age of 72 years. Arnie is survived by his loving wife Kathy, his daughter Brenda Weigel (Ross Bartels), his son Brian (Leah Kennedy and her son Colin), his grandchildren, Wesley, Brooke, Shannon, and Julia. He will also be remembered by his brother Douglas (Lori) Weigel and sister Betty Ann (Earl) Yenssen. He was predeceased by his brother Gerald Weigel and his parents Harry and Christine (nee Allensen) Weigel. Arnie retired as a Professor at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary with community involvement for over 42 years, actively serving in teaching and pastoral work. Friends are invited to share their memories of Arnie with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 248 Highland Road East, Kitchener on Wednesday, December 21 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Shafer officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Cremation will have taken place and a private family interment will follow the reception at Williamsburg Cemetery.
