Obituary of Margaret Christensen

Margaret went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Heritage House in St. Jacobs at the age of 87. Devoted mother of Marilyn Hew (Ron) of Toronto and Janice Bennett-Cleary (Joe) of Waterloo. Loving Nana to Jonathan, Gloria and Angela of Waterloo. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her former husband, Elwood Christensen of Toronto. Also survived by her sisters, Joyce McLellan (Bernie) of Barrie and Dorothy Darnley of Toronto and her brother, Norman of Elliott Lake. Predeceased by her brother, Fred Bovair (Mary). Margaret was a longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church in Toronto and of First Baptist Church in Waterloo. A memorial service to celebrate Margaret's life and faith will be held in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Snell officiating. Cremation will have taken place. A reception will immediately follow the service in the funeral home. A further memorial service will be held in Toronto at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the churches named above, The Kidney Foundation of Canada, The Alzheimer Society of Canada, or War Amps of Canada.
