Please accept my belated condolences for the passing of "Mr Forwell". I have fond memories of hanging out with KG at the Meat Market and their home as kid. He was always so generous to me and always had such great humour and playfulness with us as kids. I fondly remember (and have shamelessly borrowed for my kids) him dropping a pea on the table during one of many multiple dinners at the Forwell's and how he mentioned how he had "pead" on table. Hopefully, he carried on the tradition with his grandchildren. I feel incredible gratitude to the entire Forwell family for the positive influence they were in my life when I needed it the most and my thoughts are with the family during this time. Love, Brian

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! This is to proclaim,
we are roasting one among us whose virtues we acclaim.
Some time we've set aside tonight, in all this Forwell merriment,
to raise our glass and toast to him and make some truthful statements.
'Bout 1950, Art Forwell's home was blessed,
with two Forwell-brother rooming guests.
Leo and Ken are the two we hold dear,
but Uncle Ken stayed for nigh on seven years.
Our 'strongest' memories are of the Schneider's smell,
he brought home every night,
to his basement kitchen to burn his toast,
then upstairs to gussy up right.
Three little kids gazed in wonder and awe,
Marilyn, Charlene and Randy,
As he brushed the hair that wasn't there
And tried to look just dandy.
At night he always smelled so sweet,
But only we three know,
the many gyrations that he went through
getting all ready to go.
Large quantities of Bachelor Deodorant
I'm sure he used to buy,
because WE also wanted to smell nice;
six little arms were raised to the sky.
We were his audience and fan club true,
but one thing we loved best of all,
as he lathered, Brylcreamed and cologned,
sang the plaster off the wall.
'PUT YOUR SWEET LIPS, A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE PHONE',
Was his favourite song way back when.
'PLEASE, MOMMY, PLEASE STAY HOME WITH ME',
We begged him to sing again.
But Elizabeth Cook stole his heart,
And he lived with us no more;
'NO NEED OF AN ARMY OF 20 AND 4,
WHEN I'M BOUND FOR MY TRUE LOVE, NEAR ST. CLEMENTS' STORE

I will always have many fond memories of "Uncle Kenny". As a young boy I can remember the excitment of visiting the Butcher shop - Kenny would always have time for us and show us the back and give us a pepperette stick. I also remember the excitment and good times he brought to family reunions. I was always enthralled by what he did and inparticular his jovial, warm and charismatic character. I celebrate his life with these special memories - what a great person.

Sending love to all of you in his family.
I will always remember his big smile and warm hugs.
Uncle Kenny was the one who taught me how to dance...in Grandma's kitchen. He will be missed.

Our hearts go out to you Lorie and your mum and family. You have many great memories of your dad from a life well lived. A life filled with hard work and family and lots of good times on the golf course. I have told many people about how your managed to have your dad's butcher block at the cottage and now that little piece of your dad's life will be even more cherished. Enjoy being with your family and sharing stories at this very difficult time.
