Obituary of Mary Gilbertson

Died at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Paul Adair Gilbertson; loving mother of Ann Catharine Gilbertson and her husband Norman Scott. Grandmother of Mary Catharine Scott and her husband Graham Fleming. Great Grandmother to Adair Catharine Jean Scott - Fleming. Daughter of the late Bruce and Catharine (nee Cameron) Whitside of Simcoe. Predeceased by her son, the late Paul Adair Gilbertson Jr.. Survived by Paul Jr.'s wife Merrilyn and son Stephen. Sister of the late William (Lillian) Whitside, Robert (Barbara) Whitside, Edith (Donald) Kindy and Diane (late Robert) Hunter. Mary was a long time volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society and served as chair for the Service to Patients Committee for the Province of Ontario. Long serving member of the Simcoe Library Board and served as chair for many years. Mary also worked as coordinator of the Simcoe Information Center. Mary trained as a nurse from 1939 - 1942 at the Hospital for Sick Children Hospital in Toronto.
