Obituary of Harold Steed

Passed away at his residence at Winston Park Retirement Home in Kitchener in his 94th year. Reverend Harold Steed. Loving husband of the late Lilian Steed ( nee ) Marsh. Dear father of Joy Lemon (Gordon) of Waterloo, Marianne Moore ( Ken ) of Palgrave and Kathy Huston of Elora. Loving Grandfather of 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his sisters Marjorie Gardiner of North Bay and Muriel of Toronto. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Edith Steed his brother Rev. Robert Steed, his son Philip and daughter Genevieve. Revered Steed was Past Chaplain of the Royal Canadian Legion Waterloo Branch #530 and served as a Missionary for 10yrs in Angola Africa. He served as a caring and dedicated Minister for the United Church throughout Ontario as well as Grace United Church in Niagara on the Lake and Trinity United Church in Kitchener. A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 15, 2012 at 10 am at Trinity United Church 74 Frederick Street Kitchener. Cremation has already taken place. Reception to follow in the Church Hall.
