We know Bruce & Merna almost 29 years ,since we arrived in Kitchener from the refugee camp in Thailand.Bruce was very friendly,kind,sincere and very helpfully to those are in needed , especially for the new comers from far far away land.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our deep sorrow and deep gratitudes that Bruce had provided us every things for the past 29 years.
Bruce leaving us from this hectic world indeed but our heart,our thoughts and our friendship are always with him....

To Merna & family,
I was sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. I have many fond childhood memories of your family involving Calvin, the cottage, station wagons and dogs and New Year's Eve and piano music. What I remember most is Bruce's kind and gentle way and that there was always plenty of laughter.

My memories of Bruce are of the love and respect he showed his mother-in-law Lily Boyer when she resided at Parkwood Mennonite Home. I worked there for 16years and had so much fun with the whole family. She smiled when Bruce and Myrna walked in and loved them both so much, but had a special spot for her son-in-law. He had a great sense of humor and was a true gentleman.

Mr. Chambers was my teacher for grades 4, 5 & 6 at Sunnyside Public School in the 1950's.
He had a positive influence in my life at that young age, and I always respected him for his dedication and the way he treated his students. Just a great guy, and a true professional. I also remember when he purchaed a new 1954 Nash. We often talked about that car.
My condolences to Merna (the former Miss Duval who was also my grade 3 teacher) and family.

Bruce,Merna and other friends got together many times and Bruce was always the life of the party. Never to be forgotten is the day we set off in my small sail boat and the rudder broke. Bruce was the one who was sure we would reach shore - eventually. Now Bruce has reached another shore and we know he is safe and sound.

Mr. Chambers was the principal of my elementary school, Empire, in the 60's. He was a fair man that we looked up to and I remember him to this day. I was sorry to read of his passing.
