My Nanny and Hoppy made my childhood great. Through all the bad days and all the times I felt alone they, just like my mom and dad, were always there. They were both truly a second set of parents to me and even after all these years, I find myself missing so many parts of them.
My Hoppy was a lovable, funny and sincere man. He was the true embodiment of "Don't sweat the small stuff" mentality. I learned so much from him and still not enough. The memories I share of fishing and sneaking off during shopping trips to sit in the used furniture section will forever be engraved into a part of me. I still remember the way you walked while holding a cart and how you use to laugh when you were up to no good. You and Nanny brought so much light to this world, and I know I'm not alone when I say everything got a little darker when you both left. You were never one without the other and I too aspire to live and love the way you both did.
If only time were kinder to pure souls, I may have had you both for some time longer. I truly hope both you and Nanny are somewhere you always wished to be. Until we someday meet again, I love you with my whole heart.

Well Hops, I know it just wont be the same without you at SDVP delivery night... I remember helping you and Little Bill with the freezer every Wednesday before we would head out to do deliveries as my navigator(you ended up teaching me where every street in downtown is...to this day I can now navigate through downtown easily!) and man, we had fun. Between going into apartments where people would talk quietly to you (not knowing about your hearing aid) and you'd interrupt them and say "Well bye-bye!" and not being able to find the proper building, (especially 14 Meinzinger...we were there all the time and yet we could never remember which one it was! then we'd find it, and you'd give the old "now we're cooking with gas" comment...we always had a good time, I'll definitely miss it as I have for the past couple of years that I have been too busy to make it there. We all miss you, and hope that you are having a fun time with Nan.
