Obituary of Horst Berndt

In a peaceful sleep, Opa went home to Heaven and His Saviour on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the age of 83. Loving husband to Marie-Luise, who predeceased him April 4, 1991. Dear father of Peter (Rosemary) of Waterloo, Wally (Donna) of British Columbia, and Monika Dorough of California. Cherished grandfather of Anthony (Valerie) Dorough, Paul (Francy) Dorough, Victoria and Abigail Berndt. Horst came to Waterloo to live with his son in 2006. He was a blessing to his entire family and all those who knew him. Friends are invited to share their memories of Horst with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday November 27, 2012 from 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. A celebration of Horst's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday November 28, 2012 at 11a.m. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room.
