Ron, Barbara,Larry and Families:Since receiving the news of Velma's illness and then passing, Murray has been reminiscing of early years when Velma and her sister Alice would come home and make Christmas for him and his Mother..He was just little,likely 4 or 5 years old..Then he would tell us of your Mom and Dad in Welsford and the restaurant of your Mom's and what a treat it would be to have a "hot chicken sandwich" and real french fries....That was a long drive then from Snider Mountain but those visits will always be remembered....Our deepest sympathies as we remember Aunt Velma...Lovingly...Murray,Neil,Edna and our families

Velma was a loving, caring, person with the smile you couldn't forget.So full of love for her family and a friend to everyone she met. Then God decided to take her back.It was her time. Sorry to hear of Aunt Velmas passing. I remember when I was young we would drive up to your moms restaurant for a visit each summer.It was an all day journey on the old roads and through the little villages from Snider Mountain to Welsford.I think it was the only time we ever ate in a restaurant,how times have changed.Whenever I would think of Aunt Velma over the years,I could still see her standing in the restaurant wearing a white blouse and white apron with a big smile on her face. Many years ago -I think I was 13-14 years old-your mom sent me a bracelet for Christmas, I still have it and wear from time to time,something I will always treasure. Thinking of you Gail
