Obituary of Lorraine Draper
Following a long and often painful series of challenges in her last years, which she faced with patience and courage and great spirit, Lorraine Draper died on January 2nd at the age of 94. Lorraine was born in Toronto on August 15th 1918, the daughter of Alice (Glover) and Herb Boynton. Her love of music and her gift for playing by ear were a pleasure to herself and to those around her. She was sociable by nature and blessed with an intensely positive attitude to life. Lorraine was predeceased in 1990 by her beloved husband Bernard, and also by her sisters Evelyn Lemon and Marg Watt, and her brother Doug. She will be missed by her children Dianne (and Bob) Boyle, Gary (and Leisa Wellsman) and David, grandchildren Michael, Rob, Chris, Brian, and Maegan, and great-grandchildren Tori and Swithin. She also leaves many friends among both staff and residents at Doon Village Seniors Residence and at Riverbend Place in Cambridge. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lorraine with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday January 5th, 2013 from 10:30am - 11am. A celebration of Lorraine's life will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday January 5th, 2013 at 11:00am. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
