I always enjoyed working alongside Carol...she was such a welcomed presence when spiritual support was needed. I appreciated her sweet gentle spirit and just loved the way she so effectively ministered to all she encountered. She demonstrated the love of Christ and often comforted not only the patients and their families but even the staff! She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. I am so thankful to have known her. My deepest sympathy to her beloved family.

I was honoured to be a care giver for Carol. Never having worked in this capacity before, I was somewhat hesitant, and concerned that I might not be the right person for this kind of duty. As those who have known Carol over the past four years or so, she often had difficulty expressing herself verbally. ( her face often told the story better)
We had gone out for a stroll, with me pushing her wheel chair...I think we were out for at least an hour. I believe I had taken my guitar with me, and had sung a hymn or two...and she would hum and smile. Carol accepted me into her life that day, and she crept into my heart when I was about to leave. Carol reached out for my arm, and looked me in the eyes and spoke one word that I will never forget, in fact I have a lump in my throat as I type this. She looked at me and said "APPRECIATE"....Carol, I appreciate you. I wish I had been able to come up and see you again. I remember your joy at the sight of the chipmunks at your new place outside Ottawa. You will never be forgotten, and you will be in my prayers. God bless you now and forever. Much love. GAye
