Obituary of Michael Budaker

Passed away peacefully with his wife and family by his side, at the Village of Winston Park on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at age 85. Beloved husband of Maria for 61 years; cherished father of Monica Frim (John), Brigitte Budaker (Arthur Primosch) and Gerhard; loving Opa of Jeremy, Justin, and Ryan; dear brother-in-law of Rose Csakli and uncle of George, Hilda, and Linda. He will also be sadly missed by many cousins in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Predeceased by his grandson Michael, and brother-in-law, George Csakli. Michael was very active in the German community. He was a Past-President of the Transylvanian Club, President of the Alliance of Transylvanian Saxons in Canada and held various positions in the TCA and the German-Canadian Businessmen's Association. Michael was a highly regarded Real Estate Broker who owned Budaker Realty until his retirement in 2000. He was a registered interpreter for German and Romanian and a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Kitchener. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Enzo Pellini officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener will be followed by a reception at the funeral home.
