Obituary of Marion Hoegner
Hoegner, Marion Ellen (Aidrie-Guylee), Registered Nurse.
On Monday, April 1, 2013 in Brantford, of Waterloo, at the age of 82.
Marion E. Airdrie of Ariss attended high school in Elora and graduated from Hamilton Psychiatric with affiliation at Toronto General Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children. Employed at Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital for 12 years, she spent the remainder of her career in occupational health nursing (C.C.O.H.N.) at Dominion Tire (Uniroyal-Goodrich). Marion was a member emeritus of the R.N.A.O (Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.) She was also involved with St. John Ambulance as a nursing sister.
Beloved wife of the late Stefan of 40 years, dear mother of Paul Guylee and wife Karen of Niagara Falls, Murray Guylee and his wife Rollande of Durham, and Stuart Hoegner and his wife Laura of Toronto. Loving Oma of Cynthia, Steven and wife Karen, Christine and partner Mark Edwards, Lisa and husband Jay Mohr, James and wife Erin, Declan Hoegner; great grandchildren Hannah, Seraphia, Victoria, Arianna, Caleb Guylee and Evelyn Mohr. Also dear friend of Kathy Guylee of Stratford. Pre-deceased by her parents, Ida Dunbar (1939) and David Airdrie (1954); her husband Stefan Hoegner (2008); sister Ida-Jean Airdrie; son Wayne David Guylee; granddaughter Sarah Louise Guylee; brothers John, Russell and Albert Airdrie; step-sister Judy Hillson; and brother-in-law Gottfried Brüchle. Also step-parents, Alice and Allan Stoutenberg and first husband Donald Guylee. Sister to Isabelle and Charles Trowbridge, Stanley and Louise Airdrie, Bruce and Donna Green, and Margaret and Charles Merry; sister-in-law to Robert Hillson, Isobel Airdrie, Geraldine Airdrie, Mavis Airdrie, Reci and Alfred Weissenegger, Xavier and Anni Högner, Joseph and Hilda Högner, and Franziska Brüchle. Remembered by many nephews, nieces and cousins. Marion's family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room.
