Obituary of David Falk
David Falk (born March 25, 1933 in Melita, MB), a retired Professor of Music at Wilfrid Laurier University, died peacefully after a long struggle with Parkinsons, on June 1, 2013 in Kitchener, Ontario. He was surrounded by beautiful classical music, his loving wife Patricia and many family members. David is survived by his five children, Esther and her husband John Fast, Jonathan and his wife Debrah Martin Falk, Stephen and his wife Teresa Troester Falk, Thomas and his wife Susan Roth Falk and Joel Falk; and by his three siblings, Mary Falk Flatt, Erna Falk Buller and her husband Herb, and Herb Falk and his wife Joan; his seven grandchildren Rebecca and her husband Paul Shetler Fast, Karin Fast, Benjamin and Jesse Falk, Sarah and Emma Falk, Nicholas, Michael and Samuel Falk. He is predeceased by his late wife Viola and his daughter Laura.
David will be fondly remembered by countless students and colleagues and his fellow St. Jacob's hockey all-stars.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, 7:00 pm, at Erb Street Mennonite Church, 131 Erb Street West, Waterloo, followed by a reception.
