Don was a great friend, mentor, and team mate. His years at the Waterloo Arena, he loved hockey, he loved the people, and all the hockey people in Waterloo. I was honored to play on his bowling team for many years. To Beatty and his kids, he would be in Ottawa today, and in spirit I am sure he was, because Don was a true Canadian!

Mr. Geisel
You were the first coach to give me a chance and as the years went on you became family. You were one of the only ones I didn't mind calling me Robbie and I can still hear your voice saying it now. You meet a lot of people in your life but some stand out more than others and Mr. Giesel you were one of them. You were always there for me when I needed someone and we sure had a lot of laughs along the way.

Dad. You were always there for us no matter what was going on, you juggled your coaching duties with watching your kids play sports and never missed a game. Later on in your life you showed the same support for your granchildren, no matter where they were playing or how sick you were.
