So saddened to just see this now....curiousity on a Friday evening had me searching Vic's name on google and saw the news and was just heartbroken. My memories of sailing with the Starchuks on Big Red along with the Roths on their boat and some of the other regular gang are some of the best of my life. I am happy that I still have so many pictures from those days and nights, so much laughter, so much fun. Georgian Bay from Penetang past Beausoleil Island, Giant's Tomb et al will never see a better crew of people.....and I like the idea that my dad John, Jamie and Vic are re-sailing those channels all over again. All my love from Idaho, sent Facebook messages to Maria and Jon hoping they receive them. xo

To the Starchuk family: I have many happy memories of sailing Georgian Bay with your family. I still remember Vic's impish grin and cackle when he was up to something.
