After reading the eulogy in the Equitable Connection, I have come to understand my dad's (Louis Steegstra's) deep respect for your husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, as they came to know each other through their shared employer, Equitable Life. I especially loved reading the message to his grandchildren, a wonderful guide for the days and years ahead. May you all experience the deep peace that is beyond comprehension, as He walks with you through days of joy, humour, sorrow and grief. One word comforted me greatly when my dad went to be with his Saviour. It was the Word "Emanuel". May you all experience "God with us" deeply, even now.

We meet Bill after we joined Equitable Life in 1964.
He had a great sense of humour and offered good council and advice throughout our career at Equitable. A highlight would be flying low over the Waterloo country side with pilot Bill!

My sincere condolences to the Pugh Family. I had the pleasure of working with Bill for a number of years. I always felt better from being in his company. He was a funny, kind, and caring gentleman. The world is a poorer place without him.

We are all so sad to here our Uncle Bill has passed away.
Uncle Bill has been like a second father to us all.
His advice, wit, and brief of life has been a guiding voice.
