Obituary of Ann Ludwig

LUDWIG, Ann Elizabeth Surrounded by her loving family, Ann passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the age of 51 years. Survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Rodger Ludwig, four children, Courtney (Adam) Proudfoot, Cayley (Steve) Black, Lori Ludwig and Ryan Ludwig (Megan Lowry) as well as her "pride and joy", granddaughters Carter and Annie. Ann is also survived by her parents Elmer and Joyce Courtney of Pine River ON, brothers, Lynn (Freda) Courtney and Carmon (Bernice) Courtney, sisters, Gail (Brian) Johnson and Joan (Mike) Petersen and sister-in-law Carol Courtney as well as many nieces and nephews and countless, cherished friends. Predeceased by her father-in-law Howard Ludwig and united with her brother Elliott Courtney. For Ann, family was everything. She enjoyed raising her kids at home while running a home daycare and later worked at Sun Life for just under 15 years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ann with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Pine River United Church, Highway 21 and Concession 4, Pine River Ontario, on Saturday, October 26 with visitation from 11:00am to 1:00 pm and the service to follow at 1:30 pm. Refreshments will follow in the church hall. In Ann's memory, please wear bright and cheerful colors to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family expresses a sincere request to find time to donate blood.
