Obituary of Mark Young
Born on November 22, 1950, Mark passed away peacefully after a long illness. Pre-deceased by his parents, Jack (1999) and Belva (2003) Young, Mark was the much-loved husband and soul mate of Alexis. He will be dearly missed by his sister Judy (Harry), nephews Dan (Shannon), Brad (Liudmila), and Justin, sister-in-law Susan (John), nieces Wendy (Gary), Kathy (Luke), Jennifer (Bill), great nieces and nephews, Bronte and Bryn, Jasper and Tess, and James and Will, and his first cousins and their families. Mark had such a great joy for life. He was a very special guy: a teacher, a guitar player, an artiste. He loved going to art galleries, eating at good restaurants, playing golf, and watching as many Habs and World Cup soccer games as possible. He and Lexi's love of travel took them to France and Greece and many places in between. Most of all, he loved spending his summers with friends and family at Wendake Beach on Georgian Bay. Mark's acute sense of humour was infectious to those around him and will live on through his friends and family.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Mark with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 6-8 pm. A celebration of Mark's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, December 28 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family and donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation or a charity of one's choice may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
