Allison, Charles James (Chuck)
November 30, 1944 - March 29, 2014
Passed away on March 29, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Survived by his wife & beloved friend and companion Betty Komar, brother Don (Colleen), nephew Jesse and niece Katy. Lovingly and fondly remembered by his cousins Nancie (Alan) Garman and their daughter Allison McClue-Garman, James and family, Sheilagh and family and friend Robin Satwick, all of Great Britain. Predeceased by his dear parents Adam and Marjorie Allison.
He was raised in Thamesville, Ontario, attended St. Jerome's in Kitchener, graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University and teachers college in Stratford. He taught at both Howard Johnson School in Kitchener and St. Andrew's school in Cambridge.
Chuck was a long time member and past president of Galt golf and country club, both Ingersoll and Rockway golf clubs and recently a proud member of Westmount Golf & Country club in Kitchener. He will be sadly missed by his many friends, former students, golf buddies and neighbours and will be remembered for his wit and marvelous sense of humour.
At his request cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Chuck with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday April 22, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday April 23, 2014 from 12-1:45 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Bruce Sweet officiating. Reception to follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
