I have fond memories of Karl. He was the RVP when I came into this business with Mutual/Clarica now Sun Life. I have kept all the congratulatory and motivating cards and emails he had sent me.

Judy, Sarah and David, please know how saddened I am to hear of Karl's passing. For those of us who've been around long enough to fondly remember "back in the Mutual days", Karl was a mentor and role model to many young advisors like myself. I'll always remember and be grateful for his support during the early days of my career. He was always there with words of encouragement and a genuine interest in my progress and success. Karl was a gentle leader, dedicated to his family and the values of integrity and professionalism. We'll miss him.

Dear Judy & Family Members. We wish you to know, we were shocked and sad to hear that Karl had gone. It took some time for us to clarify a rumour, as we could not believe what was being said. It is a great shock and loss to us, as well as you and your family. Karl and I spent many enjoyable hours together at band practises, concerts and pubs. He was always honest, fun, and loving, Just a fun guy, and joy to be around. It was a special treat to see him, and spend some time together at the girls band reunion last year. My condolences on the sudden loss of Karl. He was a calm, generous man. I met Karl in 2011 as I was changing careers. We were on the Community Support Connections event committee together. He was very generous with his advice and always available to help and mentor. I'm sure he touched many lives in this community in the most positive way. He will be missed but his contribution won't be forgotten.
